Worn to Be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket

Worn to Be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket

Blood, Skin and Bone

In this show about the history of the iconic biker jacket, the complimentary colors and textures of leather, bone-like casework, blood red graphics and charred wood combine to evoke a visceral sense of danger, rebelliousness and the allure of motorcycling.

Bone Casework

Contrasting handsomely with displays of leather artifacts, the textural qualities of casework are evocative of weathered bone.
